How Much Do Amazon Delivery Drivers Really Get Paid

If you’re thinking about becoming an Amazon DSP driver, you’re probably wondering what the pay looks like. The truth is: it depends on where you live, who your DSP is, and whether they offer any bonuses. Pay isn’t the same nationwide. Some DSPs pay very well, some… not so much. Here’s a breakdown so you know exactly what to expect.

Avenir Light is a clean and stylish font favored by designers. It's easy on the eyes and a great go-to font for titles, paragraphs & more.

Pay by Region (Real Averages)

These numbers come from actual driver submissions on my DSP review page. This is what real drivers are reporting for 2025.

Northeast (NJ, NY, PA, CT, MA, etc.)

• $22–$24 per hour

• Some drivers hit $25, but most stay between 22–24.

South (AL, GA, FL, SC, LA, TX

)• $20–$21 per hour

• Some rare DSPs drop to $19. A few go up to $22.

West Coast (CA, WA, OR, NV

)• $21–$26 per hour

• Biggest pay range. Some LA/Seattle DSPs reach $26/hr.

Midwest

• $20–$22 per hour

• Very consistent. Not many bonuses in this region.

Bonuses DSPs Sometimes Offer

This is why two DSPs in the same city can pay completely differently. Bonuses make a huge difference.

1. Guaranteed 10 (G10)

The best bonus a DSP can offer.

• If you finish your route in 7–8 hours, you still get paid for 10 hours.

• It’s free extra money.

• Many DSPs removed it, but some still offer it.

2. Rescue Bonuses

If you finish early and help another driver:

• $10 per rescue, or

• $1 per stop (rare, but some DSPs do this)

3. Safety Bonuses

Typically:

• $50–$100 monthly, or

A quarterly payout

You must avoid seatbelt violations, speeding alerts, write-ups, etc.

4. Peak Pay

Around Prime Week and holidays:

• Some DSPs bump hourly rates for a few weeks.

Not every DSP offers peak pay.

Weekly Take-Home Pay (Realistic Numbers)

Let’s keep it honest — Amazon DSP shifts are 10-hour days. That’s why the weekly pay can look strong.

Full-Time (4 days = 40 hours)

• $600–$700 take-home

Based on state taxes + DSP hourly rate.

Picking up a 5th day

• $900–$1,100 take-home

This is how most drivers hit the “$1,000 per week” mark.

Between overtime, bonuses, and sometimes G10, hitting $1k/week is common.

Is It Worth It?

It depends on you.

You will deal with

:• 20,000–30,000 steps a day

• Heat or cold

• Stairs

• Heavy boxes

• Bad GPS moments

• Dogs with no boundaries

If you don’t mind physical work, Amazon DSP driving can be a solid paycheck with stable hours and no degree required.

Final Thoughts

Amazon DSP pay is better than most people realize. Most full-time drivers take home around $600–$700 per week, and if you add a fifth day or pick up bonuses, it’s very common to hit $900–$1,100 weekly.
